There’s an exhibition on at Kelvingrove at the moment of art created by various invited artists inspired by the big shiny new Riverside museum complex, which is basically the new transport museum but I’d imagine a lot more besides. It’s called A River Runs Through It, and there’s a massive variety of beautiful work there, but what most caught my eye was the work by Ruth A Nicol. Sadly the curators didn’t think it worthy of inclusion in the exhibition catalogue which is a shame since the canvases themselves were slightly out of my price range…

Still, get down there before the end of January and see for yourself. There’s such a variety there’s certain to be something you’ll like there. Admission is free, and you get to wander round the rest of the collection whilst you’re there.
