28 Songs Later – Song One : Music

My project for 28 Drawings Later this year is called 28 Songs Later. Exploring my music-inspired abstracts, I will paint a small (8″ square) abstract piece each day based on a song. Sometimes there will be lyrical or rhythmic references, other times it will just be a pure response, but each will hopefully capture something of what it is to listen to that song.

What better song to kick off the project than John Miles’ “Music”.
